Irish actor Colin Farrell told Ellen DeGeneres he hasn’t had a romantic relationship since the death of Elizabeth Taylor.
The pair met while Farrell was waiting for the birth of his son and she was getting a heart stint. They wound becoming friends.
He explained, "It was kind of like the last -- it feels like in my head, not hers, I'm projecting -- but the last kind of romantic relationship I had. Which was never consummated."
The duo often called each other in the middle of the night just to chat. Farrell said he may have been the screen icon's eighth husband, had she not died in 2011. "She was a spectacular, spectacular woman. I wanted to be number eight, but we ran out of road," he explained.
