Video game warning for parents

UPDATED 3:20pm: It's the season of Santa, reindeer, and video games.
But the Interactive Games and Entertainment Association has a warning for parents planning on buying games for their kids.
It's cautioning them not to buy adult games for impressionable kids.
Chief executive Ron Curry says parents need to take note of the classifications, and make use of the parental control settings.
"Like any other media, there's going to be content that's not appropriate for a certain age.
"Parents need to understand what is right and wrong for their children."
Mr Curry says parents shouldn't shy away from buying games, but should choose age-appropriate titles.
"For entertainment, for relaxation, for education.
"So the kids can learn reading skills, maths skills, problem-solving skills, or even lessons in history."
He says kids also need to balance their gaming time with time spent playing outside.
Mr Curry says video games are also a great way for kids to bond and socialise.
