It has been the year that celebrities have pushed the raunch factor to the maximum with former Disney stars baring all and pop babes providing intimate Instagram pics.
Dubbed ‘overtly sexualized’ and ‘pornographic’ by the likes of Annie Lennox, we take a look back at the sauciest celebs of 2013.

Rihanna proved she’s the queen of mixing controversy and titillation with her frequent Instagram uploads of herself in underwear – or even nothing at all. In October, the 25-year-old Bajan beauty shocked when she appear to pleasure herself on a throne in stills from the video for her song Pour It Up. Later that month she caused the biggest upset by conducting a ‘sexy photoshoot’ outside a mosque in Abu Dhabi. The star was ejected from the religious grounds for her sizzling snaps which depicted her covered head-to-toe in clothes for a change…

Nicki Minaj gave RiRi a run for her money in September she ‘accidentally’ flashed a nipple when stepping out in a loose fitting jacket that barely covered her bare breasts – leading to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres mocking the 31-year-old Superbass singer by copying her style on Halloween.

Northern Irish actor Jamie Dornan was the surprise replacement for Charlie Hunnam after being cast in the film adaptation of Fifty Shade of Grey. The Fall actor, 31, has already set pulses racing by admitting he won’t shy away from the kinky content of the novel series when it is adapted to the big screen. ‘I’m a fairly worldly guy. I grew up in a very liberal place. I’m not saying we had a playroom, but I’m not shocked by [the sex in the book]. It’s essential to tell the story. I can’t believe films that don’t invoke the sexual side of it, so it works for me,’ he said, vowing to go full frontal in the film.
Britney Spears was forced to flash some flesh in September during the unveiling of the first single from her eighth studio album, Work B***h. The video for the song arrived the following month with Brit vamping it up in the Nevada desert wielding a whip and showcasing a new dominatrix image. However, the 32-year-old mum-of-two moaned she had been forced to act even more sexy when making the video. She later revealed: ‘Oh my god, we showed way more skin and did way more stuff for the video than what is actually there. Like, I cut out half the video because I am a mother and because, you know, I have children, and it’s just hard to play sexy mom while you’re being a pop star as well.’
In a year of headline grabbing antics, 21-year-old Miley Cyrus took the biscuit in September when she stripped off and straddled a piece of construction equipment for the Wrecking Ball video. The video – directed by notorious photographer Terry Richardson – has clocked up over 400 million views on YouTube and spawned countless parodies across the internet. It was shortly after the video debuted that Annie Lennox felt compelled to release an open letter a expressing concerns that recent music videos presented a ‘glorified and monetized form of self-harm.’

Shy is a word that doesn’t exist in the dictionary of Lady Gaga and in the run up to the 27-year-old’s third album release, she tried everything she could to garner column inches – including getting naked for her art(pop).  In August the singer got completely naked for an art project with Marina Abramovic which saw her creeping around a garden without any clothes. Earlier that same month she had posed naked on a ‘binary chair’ to promote her album. But it was in October that fans were left stunned in London’s G-A-Y when the singer stripped off completely during one of her songs.

At the beginning of 2013, Justin Bieber was still the pop prince of music. But over the last 12 months the 19-year-old has seemingly done everything he can to shake off his squeaky clean image. He did most of his acts topless (showcasing an increasingly buff body). But as the year came to a close, there were saucier reports with a party involving strippers in November, an alleged stopover in a Brazilian brothel, and by December he was boasting about having sex with ‘b***hes’ when he took the spotlight in an LA comedy club.
Aussie pop rapper Iggy Azalea left her mark on music in 2013 with her big beat tunes and rapid lyrics. The 23-year-old sang about administering sexual favours in exchange for Louboutins in her debut single Work in March. But it was in September that the singer turned up the sexy factor when her nipples could be seen through a string top in the Change Your Life video.
